On October 19th and 20th, 2024, the 6th Austrian Roller Derby Championship took place at the North Sports Center in Salzburg – an exciting tournament that pitted the country’s best teams against each other in a thrilling series of competitions. The hosts – the SBG Knockouts – have spared no effort to make this important derby event a great success.

All five teams had the opportunity to play against each other and jam and block for gold. As players and fans, we saw in every game how much strategy there was behind the teams’ jam starts and how intensively the players trained before this bout. Every single game was incredibly exciting and sometimes so close that it was really nerve-wracking. We could barely stay in our seats.

The event not only attracted fans from the scene, but also showed the constantly growing interest in this dynamic sport in Austria. Who won the title? You can find all information and results here!

Results of the 6th Austrian Championships 2024

We were able to win the title again this year and can now call ourselves 6-time Austrian champions. Many thanks to all teams for the exciting games. So here are the final rankings:

1st Place: Vienna Roller Derby

Really exciting games, super cool merch and a great atmosphere, a halftime show, beautiful friendships, afterbout parties and much more have made the ÖM an event that the derby community won’t soon forget! Each game was supported by shouts and chants from the audience.

The Reffs and NSOs, without whom an event like this would not be possible, must also be mentioned. Many penalties were called, there were foul-outs and also desperate looks at the bench, but with every team you could tell how much solidarity and love there is for the sport. The cohesion, the common goal of playing exciting and fair games, and the good vibes make every bout an experience.
